everything but...the Kitchen Sink
I’ve a got a little basil plant that is doing quite well this summer! Its definitely soaking up the sun and warmth these days!
I’m looking for some ways to make good use out of it this year! Here are some recipes I've found that I'm planning on trying out very soon!
♥Sometimes (or most times!) the simplest recipe is the most delicious! Especially when the recipe is coming from the Barefoot Contessa! How can you wrong with that?!
♥I love that grilled cheese is such a versatile sandwich, here’s a completely summery twist! I think I will wait for some small plants of tomatoes for this one though.
♥Isn’t crazy that pesto doesn’t mean just basil anymore? Practically any herb or green can be blended into a pesto! This list has some really creative and unique recipes for pesto.
♥We recently went on a trip to Mexico and the resort had these delicious Mango Basil Mojitos!, which remind me of this recipe! The ones made at the resort did not have the jalapeno though, which I’m sure gives it a nice kick!
♥Here is a complete outside of the box idea on the classic Indian peas and potatoes samosas with tamarind chutney, which is why I’m looking forward to trying it out! Doesn't the Peach and Basil chutney sound amazing?
