Ring in the holidays with this festive cranberry orange gin & tonic! Orange rosemary simple syrup, white cranberry juice, topped with your favorite gin and a splash of tonic water.
Cranberry Orange Gin & Tonic
This festive cocktail has all the of flavors and fragrances of the holidays! From the tart cranberry juice to the aromatic gin. But the most important ingredient is definitely the simple syrup. Because its not just a simple syrup but actually an orange rosemary simple syrup! Yeah I know that you're definitely getting that holiday vibe from it now!
All you need to get in the festive spirit with this drink is:
- Cranberry Juice - I recommend white cranberry for a milder flavor of cranberry
- Gin - use your favorite brand, I love Empress gin in this cocktail because its so aromatic and provides a beautiful blue/purple hue
- Tonic Water
- Orange Rosemary Simple Syrup - for a delicious and aromatic twist!

How to make the Orange Rosemary Simple Syrup
What you need:
- 1 orange for zest and juice
- Rosemary sprig
- Sugar
- Water
Bring everything together in a saucepan. I like to leave the rosemary sprig out until it is off the heat, this way it infuses the syrup but not too intensely! Let the syrup simmer for a few minutes and then remove it from the heat. Now add in the rosemary sprig and it will infuse as the syrup cools down to room temperature. Remove the rosemary right before you're ready to store away the syrup. Bottle up the simple syrup! I like to strain the syrup into a glass jar for storage, that way any pieces of zest and rosemary get strained out before storage.
Tip: Make the simple syrup a few days ahead of any celebration you are planning so that on the day of, drinks can be served up quickly!
